Heinz Pure New Zealand

Pure_NZ_3_PacksPure_NZ_Corn_Back_Front  Pure_NZ_Peas

Designed by Acorn Brand Design In Prahran Victoria Australia:

"The Heinz Pure New Zealand range was created to launch a range of premium vegetables that embody the product's origin and authenticity. It was also important to create an offering of quality, unadulterated by genetic modification. The packaging is authentic, honest, transparent, environmentally sensitive with a sense of humour.

The back of pack also features a 'webcode' and directions to a website that allows the consumer to find out exactly where the products are grown, which farmer grew it and a photo & bio of the farmer. The website is www.purenzvegies.com and to check it out, use this code 89082B - We think its pretty cool! It is also the first transparent bio degradable packaging in the Australian frozen category."

Blue Q by Louise Fili Ltd

Very cool recycled bags and packaging by Louise Fili out of New York. I love the eclectic mix of imagery and typography.

These recycled polypropylene shoppers for Blue Q were created from an archive of vintage European alphabets, labels and patterns, as was the packaging for their line of People Candy.

Revelry Wines

Revelry

Revelry Vintners is a winery from Washington State interested not only in the quality of their wines, but also the innovation and functional aspects of their packaging. Revelry wines are sold in patent-pending REVELution cask. According to 425 Magazine, the “unique, boxed design holds almost twice the amount of wine that a bottle holds, isn't susceptible to cork taint and keeps wine fresh for several weeks after opening”. It is also recyclable.

Hangerpak

Hanger1Hanger3
This is what I call a packaging that kills 2 birds with one stone - It is a box and also acts as a hanger! Concept cleverly thought of by Steve Haslip, a graphic designer from Wivelsfield Green, England.

"The concept was fairly simple: I buy t-shirts online and they always come wrinkled and I always run out of coat-hangers. So I designed a sustainable, reusable way to send and keep your t-shirts. As you open the package you create a coat hanger. The packaging could be made from recycled material whether it is card or plastic and the only waste is the green tear-away tab. The t-shirt seen here is from Threadless. This project won a FIRST prize in the D&AD Student Awards 2007 category 'What else do you do?'."

New Leaf 100% Recycled

-6-8
Willoughby Design has also designed the New Leaf 100% Recycled line:

"Turning a New Leaf: Committed to inspiring a fundamental shift toward environmental responsibility in the paper industry, New Leaf Paper faced the challenge of presenting environmentally friendly paper as a stylish, even luxurious, choice for consumers. The Willoughby Design Innovation Lab helped New Leaf design a series of product lines and accompanying packaging to present personal stationery, school supplies and commodity office products in a way that proves you don’t have to sacrifice style and convenience to make responsible choices. The paper goods, available in Whole Foods, Office Depot and Target stores, use innovation to compete with non-recycled mainstream brands at a better quality, price and style."

Rebel Green

New work from our friends at Wink:

"Introducing Rebel Green, a chic, edgy, “eco” lifestyle brand that elevates green products to a new level of organic cotton status with “Made in America” style.

Rebel Green (www.rebelgreen.com) understands that what we put next to our skin needs to be healthy for us and the environment without sacrificing style. Rebel Green’s men, women and children’s apparel and reusable bag system are so hip, you might forget you’re being eco-friendly. Rebel Green reusable shopping bags are purposely designed for ease of use. Unlike the vast majority of eco-products, Rebel Green is committed to making our products right here in the US.

The current selection of products made from organic or sustainable materials is uninspiring. Rebel Green elevates organic cotton canvas to a whole new style category. “Style has power and our goal is to get people to be fashionably eco-conscious and buy American. That’s why we’ve poured so much energy into the design of the Rebel Green brand,” says the brand’s founders, Ali Ruvin and Melina Marcus.

In the tradition of legendary American designers, rebels who weren’t afraid to break rules to forge a new frontier in style, Rebel Green with classic American ingenuity, goes where no other eco-brand has gone before.

High quality, careful attention to detail and original artwork blends contemporary and retro designs that are fresh yet seem familiar. The styles are designed to attract even the most discerning brand-conscious consumers. “We aren’t convinced that the whole world wants to carry reusables with cutesy polka dots while wearing preachy green slogan tees. We were determined to create a chic, edgy and rebellious line for men, women and children.”

Rebel Green is motivated by local and global initiatives to cut down paper and plastic consumption. We believe that to change consumer habits, we need to create an eco-lifestyle brand that is unforgettable. Our customers tell us “reusable bags are so boring and awkward we forget to bring them along half the time.” Rebel Green is not is that imposter eco-tote made from petroleum derived materials like nylon masquerading as a green crusader that screams “Buy Local” when it is actually made across the ocean. Rebel Green deliberately intends to show that sustainability and style can be made stateside."

Milestone, a brand consultancy in Beaconsfield, United Kingdom sent in this redesigned packaging:

"Re-branding for an almost forgotten British men's hair care brand, Pashana, on behalf of new owners Denman. The packaging makes use of existing bottle shapes in recyclable PET material with new branding and strap line. Milestone created three ranges for twenty initial products, mixing decorative illustration with contemporary type and layout."
