Tiny cellophane packet achieves a surprisingly effective illusion: transforming its contents —(two gum-ball shaped candies)— into a miniature Maneki Neko.

Different packets feature different facial expressions.

The Kraken

"The Kraken™ Black Spiced Rum is the newest offering from Proximo Spirits and weighs in at a legendary 94 proof. Pri Ha'Gefen

A beautiful project sent in by Fay K.Pal, a Russia born designer who studied in Israel, and now lives in Massachusetts:

"A wine brand Pri Ha'Gefen ( "Grapevine Fruit" in Hebrew). I made a research in the wine niche, and decided to stick to the roots and look for the first time "wine" was meantioned in the Bible. The first mention of wine in the Bible is involved with Noah (Genesis). So, I took it to the original Jewish holy sources and made the logo in Hebrew. All teh meaning of this brand is the fusion and the revolution of the genesis and 2010. The modern new in integration with the ancient. I choose to use an original sorts of Israeli original wine and grapes."

Student Spotlight: NYC Spaghetti

What a brilliant use of packaging to create something so much more than the product itself:

"I created this spaghetti packaging for a university project last year. The brief was to package one of 5 difficult items i.e. eggs, a rose, custard powder, spaghetti or marbles. I chose spaghetti. The spaghetti sits on a 3d model of the chrysler building that was modelled on CAD by my friend Ben Thorpe. And then modelled out of high density foam at uni. Creating a spaghetti model of the Chrysler building!"

Ben Krantz is a New York City based Art Director / Designer:

"Penfolds Wine Packaging: The tic tac toe boards represent Penfolds three core elements of balance, ripeness and flavor and speaks to a younger, maturing wine audience.

Cabot Cheese Packaging: Inspired by a time of classicism, I wanted to have a packaging suite that would actually be displayed along its contents as well as complement enriching dinner parties amongst friends.

Mayfield Ice Cream: Ice cream often lacks a personality or a playful side so through my illustrations I gave Mayfield a fresh, bold and unique personality that would appeal to a broad ice cream loving audience."
