What happens to those cutting-edge package design concepts that never were? We believe that an innovative concept should never be wasted. Today, we launch The Concepts We Wish Were Real Awards, conceived from The Dieline’s weekly recurring feature of the same name, to honor genius packaging design concepts that have ended up crumpled up and tossed in the trash.
The Dieline’s CWWWR Awards has gathered a prestigious panel of judges who specialize in branding, design, and packaging. Judges hail from top agencies including Pearlfisher, Anagrama, and Jones Knowles Ritchie, consumer brands such as Coca-Cola and The Honest Company, and other organizations such as Art Center College of Design.
The Dieline’s CWWWR Awards have partnered with LiveSurface to enable entrants to visualize our existing concepts, or create new packaging concepts with LiveSurface Context, for free. Context allows designers to see their design ideas in the real world, with a click.
The jury will award a range of prizes to 38 winners, including features in HOW Design Magazine and The Dieline, custom certificates designed by Ken Lo of BLOW, and 1-year subscriptions to Adobe Creative Cloud and LiveSurface Context. Entries will be judged based on branding, design, creativity, and structure.
