“In the olden times, when you could easily meet a well-behaved bear walking down a street of any Russian town (on his way to do some errands), the temperature would fall all the way to -100 °?, life was a struggle, and the only form of entertainment was a balalaika — Russian healers would prescribe honey mead, ales, and herbal liquors to alleviate your ailments, which of course you would share with the first bear you saw on the street, toasting each other with big earthenware jugs and shouting ‘Na Zdorovie!’”
