Check out this fun and funky olive oil packaging. Bruketa&Zinic&Grey created this olive oil gift packaging by taking inspiration from the traditional architecture and contemporary art of Istria, Croatia.

“The Chiavalon Family from Istria is doubtlessly the most awarded producer of extra virgin olive oils in Croatia. Their Ex Albis Olive Oil has been listed among the top 25 organic extra virgin olive oils globally. In view of the worldwide reputation earned to date, the Chiavalon Family came to a conclusion that their brand should promote Istria, which is why they have recently launched a special gift edition in an interesting souvenir format. Every bottle is clad in a miniature traditional Istrian house adorned with art inspired illustrations.”

“‘We create in Istria, pursuing an idea of putting old traditions, the latest technology and art together as a vision for the future,’ says Tedi Chiavalon. He highlights that a blend of specific historical heritage and art permeating Istria in every corner was therefore perfect guidance for the packaging design.”

“‘For example, over the past years a small Istrian town Vodnjan has distinguished itself by its vibrant art scene and murals adorning the walls of its houses, which inspired the packaging design. In addition to the murals, the packaging illustrations also depict film and music as arts Istria is well-known for,’ says Nebojsa Cvetkovic, Art Director at the Bruketa&Zinic&Grey Agency that can be credited with the idea, whereas Sanja Rotter was responsible for the product design. Besides helping to disseminate the story of Istria worldwide, they hope the packaging could become a new Istrian souvenir as well.”
