Brand Spotlight: Artisan Marshmallows from Little Boo Boo Bakery

Marshmallows are usually considered an accent to other beverages or foods—additions to your hot cocoa or an ingredient for some homemade Rice Krispies treats. They’re sugary sweet but certainly not reserved as a standalone treat; that is, except for Little Boo Boo Bakery marshmallows.

Crafted by Hannah Scarritt-Selman, Co-Owner and Head Confectioner, Little Boo Boo Bakery produces hand-crafted and all-natural marshmallows with standout flavors like Chocolate Mint, Matcha Green Tea, and a flavorful classic Vanilla Bean. You won’t find lines of various other desserts sold by Little Boo Boo Bakery. Instead, the focus is clear and simple: to create the world’s finest marshmallows.

It’s fitting that the packaging design (and even their Squarespace site design) falls in line with these values. Simple and straightforward, the resealable bags allow the standout flavors to catch the consumer’s eye. A sans serif font gives it a modern feel, clearly communicating that these aren’t your typical marshmallows. The bag also features a clear cutout section, letting potential buyers see the light, fluffy morsels up close and personal.

“I’d always had a major sweet tooth and loved experimenting with different recipes,” Scarritt-Selman admits. “One holiday season I made marshmallows and it was pretty simple but tasted amazing. I began to think about how a marshmallow with quality ingredients that didn't cost a premium was absent from the market.
