For Gkazas Olive Oil, it’s oil in the family. Today developed the brand’s identity and packaging, focusing on the family aspect of this brand as well as their Greek wisdom.
“The Dutch-Greek Gkazas family produces olive oil on their own land, in the mountains of Crete. Born out of love for the product, they make it in the most authentic, pure and natural way possible. Every winter the family harvest and press the olives themselves. Their extra virgin olive oil is unfiltered, organic, cold-pressed, never mixed with other oils and has no additives.”
“The logo combines Greece and olive oil in a simple, yet iconic way. It stands as a dynamic symbol for the Gkazas family and unites the entire brand experience across the bottles of oil, print and other communication. Simple and powerful and ‘oil in the family’. We developed a new look and feel that emphasised the family character of Gkazas. We photographed real people: the family and friends of the oil producers, at work on the land in Crete.”
The logo appears boldly as an olive dripping in a light yellow-green hue, and the blue and white colors are a nod to the Greek flag. Finely drawn illustrations emphasize the brand’s history and the tradition of making olive oil. With a wide variety of packaging options, the consumer can find which one will best suit them.
“To further support the brand’s identity, we offer some words of Greek wisdom. A little bit of Plato, ‘Good olive oil is half the battle’ and Socrates, ’Good oil brings good people together’. These words of wisdom are found on the back of each bottle.”
