Years ago, long before the pharmaceutical companies of today were around, people relied on herbal medicine to improve their health. This spirit, designed by Panfilov & Yushko CG, embraces this old-timey pharma inspiration for Tinctures Old Doctor, a line of uniquely flavored liquors.

“A series from 5 tinctures ‘Old Doctor’ is cast by pharmaceutical theme and an esthetics of the pre-revolutionary period. Classical recipes received new reading, were added with the new. Recipes are numbered and divided in the flowers for convenience of perception. Labels are executed in the muffled scale on wine paper and decorated with a generalized character of the pre-revolutionary doctor and the press like that doctors at that time put.”

Tinctures Old Doctor takes a traditional approach, with a yellowed label and detailed illustration (presumably of a trusted doctor). A classic font and thin gold border channels an older time. It’s a spirit that gives off a “quality, not quantity” vibe, much like effective drugs of old were used with care to heal the sick.

“Tinctures differ in bright tastes of the natural ingredients used in preparation. In confirmation to that in each bottle are according to taste: goji berries, root of a ginseng, guelder-rose berry, Sudanese rose. This work is performed in close cooperation with the ‘Strizhament’ company. Together we passed a big way from idea to a serial product.”
