A classy morning cup of joe. ByJoao developed the packaging and identity for Estate Coffee Co., giving it an upscale vibe that coffee lovers will truly appreciate.

“Packaging design for Estate Coffee Co, an up-and-coming brick and mortar craft coffee roaster and espresso bar in San Antonio, TX, USA. The minimalistic design and the color scheme used on this project gives the product a unique, upmarket feel.”

With craft coffee shops popping up everywhere, Estate Coffee Co. needed to stand out. ByJoao went for a minimal approach that feels confident and mature, appealing to coffee addicts who have high requirements for their favorite drink. Coffee bags feature a modern sans serif font, striking silver and blue, and a resealable top to keep things fresh. Industrial accents of wood and metal give the brand a robust, strong vibe, speaking to the flavor of Estate Coffee Co.’s drinks.

Theresa entered the world of design through The Dieline. With a background in writing and journalism, she has a passion for discovery and cultivating human connections. Her work for The Dieline is a constant journey to deeply understand all facets of the design process and to investigate what makes designers tick. Theresa’s writing has taken her snorkeling in between the tectonic plates in Iceland, horseback riding through a rural Brazilian town, and riding an octopus art car at Burning Man with Susan Sarandon as part of a funeral procession for Timothy Leary (long story). When not writing, she is planning her next trip or taking too many pictures of her cat.
