Last year wine producer Sandeman celebrated its 225th Anniversary. Selling no less than an average of 18 bottles per minute, Sandeman is one of the biggest producers in the Porto wine business, constantly thriving to improve its premium perception.
True to its History, Heritage and Legacy, Sandeman called design agency VOLTA to help them celebrate their anniversary. Talking about the brief received by the wine company, VOLTA says “Sanderman asked not only for a premium perception in every material produced but also for us to develop a concept that truly explained the brand’s history and attitude.”
In close collaboration, the client and the agency created a series of six stories that together tell the story of The House of Sandeman’s 225-year-old success and commitment to quality. This beautiful and elegant collection has been translated on a range of bottles - numbered from 1 to 6- where each label relates graphically to its own history, emphasizing the collectible appeal. Their unusual shape and opening system, allied to the bold and varied colour palette creates a stunning mosaic of boxes - with great shelf presence.
