Take you food experience to the next level at Toro, a Spanish restaurant located in the heart of NYC, Boston, Bangkok and Dubai. Designed by Futura, the branding was taken in a more modern direction rather than traditional, with black and white as the color scheme. Pops of gold in the brand name add a bit of flair, while the Picasso drawings on the takeout bags, add artistic expression.

“We wanted to communicate the Spanish vibe without being too obvious, because the name was explanatory enough. So, for the branding, we took some elements of their culture for inspiration. On one hand we did a reinterpretation of Picasso’s Guernica mixed with one of the most iconic festivals in Spain: San Fermín. And by the other hand, we got inspiration from Gaudi's mosaic technique: Trencadis.

The color selection and typographic treatment has to do more with the restaurant scene than with the type of food they serve. Since this is not a traditional Spanish restaurant for old tourists, this is a cool place for people who want to have a great time, while having access to amazing food and great wine.”
