“The breakdown of our health is the breakdown of our society.” Shannon Vaughn was only 32 when she diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. With her team of alternative practitioners, healing modalities, and practices, she embarked on a life-changing cleanse treatment that detoxified her system, and in turn, she healed herself. After seeing the power of whole, raw, natural ingredients she created Pursoma in 2013 to share what she’d learned.

“The name Pursoma comes from ‘pur’ - French for pure and ‘soma’ - Greek term meaning ‘of the body.’ Soma is also an important term in Ayurvedic medicine which is ‘something in and of the body that allows you to access your inner soul’. Soma is the integral part of transition, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually.”

The packaging for Pursoma’s line of products is a union of simplicity and medicine, indicating the pure ingredients used and the power they have. The products, from detox baths to nasal rinses, are packaged in a minimal, mostly white resealable bag. Each item has a specific color associated with it, which is shown with a bold line and a medical cross. The packaging omits unnecessary information and graphics, appearing even cleaner and easier to read and understand than a medication you might pick up from the pharmacy.

“All of our products aim to help others reclaim healthier lives by detoxifying, rejuvenating and soothing the body from the inside out. All our formulations are created from pure ingredients sourced from nutrient-rich waters and the primordial earth. Our current ingredients are Eco-cert, organic, hand-harvested or sustainably farmed from France.”

“Many of our products also assist in ridding the body of heavy metals, radioactive materials, and damage from daily stressors. We formulated our products to help with the über stress that our bodies have to deal with daily from the radiation emitted by our cell phones, laptops, tablets, and their networks.”
