Our sense of smell is powerful in bringing up memories from our past. Why not use those happy memories to create a scented picture? The designers at Nik and Carole did just that for Kenneth Turner candles in the UK. The home fragrances have been rebranded to celebrate the art of floral arrangements, using flowers to make a visual language for the Floral Couture line.

“It’s fantastic to take a brand back to its roots and to be at the heart of such a major rebrand,” says Carole Haralambous, Managing Director at Nik and Carole. “Experiencing the sense of theatre in prestigious venues such as Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason is truly inspiring.”

“A unique proposition with each bespoke scent inspired by an occasion and the beautiful flowers that make it both memorable and unique. At the heart of the rebrand are the exquisite floral letters. Handpicked and artistically arranged by Laura, this unique floral signature translates beautifully across all the packaging and creates a real statement of luxury in-store. Decadent and theatrical lifestyle photography has brought the stories behind the scents to life in literature and online.”

The packaging’s crisp white background highlights the layout of the flowers and their mix of colors. Each box has a “K” comprised of a different floral arrangement, indicative of the mood you might feel at a particular type of event with those exact flowers. Each scent has an elusive name, like “Midsummer Night” or “Celebration,” which allows the buyer to attach his or her own emotions to the candle’s scent. The design is bright and playful, however it still possesses the capacity for an alluring emotional depth.
