We’re all familiar with certain cliched phrases, many of which can have less meaning to us because they’re used with such frequency. But what if we could give new meaning to these phrases — with beer? Robot Food has taken commonly used phrases and given them new meaning through Vocation Breweries beer.

With names like “Pride & Joy” and “Heart & Soul,” the brews each get names of familiar phrases. The dry hopped pale ale, for example, is “Bread & Butter,” which gives us a deeper understanding of the beer itself and repurposes the saying in our minds. These titles stand out boldly in rich colors against a primarily black label. Fine details are drawn in white and demonstrate specific tastes of each beer. The bold colors catch our eyes, but the illustrations and intricacies create a strong story that appeals to the drinker.
