Twitter users are very familiar with the iconic image of the #failwhale. This social object, an illustration of a whale held up by a flock of birds, is used not only to indicate Twitter’s downtime but also as a representation of the community's love for the service and their hope for its triumph over their many struggles. This iconic image has been the inspiration behind the logo design for Coffee and tea producer Perkse.
One morning, whilst drinking an horrible cup of coffee, the Perkse producer immediately thought of the #failwhale. “The whale icon is a pledge to our consumers that our brand stands for a great experience.”
The packaging is a tribute to the school milk man but they are also functional as they are fully resealable, helping the content to stay fresh for longer.
