“Recent budget cuts in the Hawai'i school system have resulted in the eradication of art programs in public schools.”

Drawing on her connection with Hawaii for art direction, Lili'uolani Pickford designed a spray paint line featuring the everyday imagery seen on the islands. The designs are clean and minimal, featuring the paint color and a single large image with accompanying names such as “Chicken Leg Red.” You can see the playfulness infused into this work, I’m sure she had a good time designing it.

“The imagery of everyday Hawai'ian life speaks to locals while the clean design aesthetic appeals to those willing to spend more for quality paint.”
