Keeping tradition in mind, Scandinavian Design Group designed Bakehuset, a Norweign bread company that wants to keep the homemade, unique character in mind. The design incorporates breadboards and utilizes kraft paper to keep the homey feel.

"Folktales are one of the cultural and historical aspects that bind our country together, despite the large distances, the names of the bread is taken from characters in these folktales. We have a long and proud tradition in Norway, and as long as it has been baked bread it has been made breadboards, all with its unique and homemade character.

It was desirable to create a distinct, rustic and honest expression. The color expression is mainly limited to the use of black, and the background is taken from an old woodcut plate. The craftsmanship quality comes out clearly in the visual language and the rough paper."
