Symbolizing energy, vitality, cheer, excitement, adventure, warmth, and good health, today we take a look at a collection of packaging designs that draw inspiration from the color Orange.

Awestruck 'Hometown Homicider'

Trick or treat? Halloween is upon us and what better treat than an orange and black packaging with a bit of a spooky story behind it? We absolutely adore this cider packaging created by Buddy Creative and the story behind the brand.

“Every small town holds its secrets, its myths and its legends. No matter how sleepy and bucolic they seem from the outside, how cosy they feel — behind that friendly welcome, beyond that lazy wood smoke curling up from the chimneys, there’s often a darker melody of secrets unknown.

“Hometown Homicider is just that creature. Carefully crafted to evoke warm memories of home comforts—pumpkin pie, sugar and spice—it also has a darker, smokier, more furtive side to it.”

Glenmorangie 'A Midwinter Night’s Dram'

As the weather turns chillier and chillier, why not curl up with some friends to enjoy some delicious whiskey? Glenmorangie A Midwinter Night’s Dram is a single malt whisky crafted by Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Distilling, and it is sold exclusively in the UK. ButterflyCannon designed the packaging, aiming to conjure up warm feelings about the festive season and tradition in an updated and premium way.

“The packaging design is inspired by the great Scottish Winters – whilst it may be chilly outside, it is also a season marked by the warmth and conviviality of celebrating with friends and family. To reflect this, the front and back of the pack are executed in pure white to reflect the ice and snow outside, whilst the sides are picked out in Glenmorangie’s trademark."

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale rolls in just in time for the fall season. This carrot cake-inspired ale is poured into tinted glass bottles and adorned with a bouquet of carrots and Hops that frame the beverage's name. Vines wrap themselves around the beverage creator's name and brewery to celebrate the collaborative project.

"Every year, dozens of local homebrewers bring their “A” games to our AHA Rally & Homebrew Competition with their sights set on the prize: the opportunity to brew their beer on our 120-barrel brewhouse, and see it distributed nationally and entered in the 2015 GABF Pro-Am competition. Juli Goldenberg emerged as this year’s champion with her delicious version of a classic Belgian-style ale. As the name implies, this beer is richly aromatic and envelopes the palate with carrot-cake spices and subtle malt sweetness followed by a medium-dry finish."

Redwood Cosmetics

Redwood Bath and Body cosmetics brings us back to nature. Inspired by their passion for hitchhiking and exploring the outdoors, the two founders asked Domininkas Sakalauskas to design the branding for the California- and London-based company. Earthy colors and simplicity instantly transport buyers to a large redwood forest, with the branches of the trees shading them and loose dirt at their feet. Something inspired by nature should indeed be uncomplicated, and Redwood Cosmetics avoids unnecessary text and graphics.

Big Belly Band

If you love handcrafted, homemade beer, you’re certainly lucky—more and more brews seem to be popping up every day. Daniele Simonelli began brewing beer years ago, which has now led to the production of Big Belly Band beer.

“Inspired by a tour inside the Guinness Factory in Dublin, during the Autumn of 2011 I started to brew my own beer with some friends of mine. Even though we didn't have any knowledge of the art of home-brewing, step by step we learned the craft and started to produce some pretty nice beer. Our intent has never been to create a commercial beer, but a homemade and handcrafted one. We wanted to have fun while brewing and to create a beer to share among our families and friends. Following this vision, I designed a brand identity which reflect the handmade nature of our beer: the BBB beer is totally handcrafted, from the brewing to the label.”
