Pastiglie Leone

On a recent trip to New York City I went into Eataly, which is a sprawling marketplace housing a labyrinth of Italian restaurants and stands, down the street from the iconic Flatiron building. I was in dire need of precious carbohydrates, which is a story for another time, but my weakened state left me unable to turn my face from every gourmet treat in sight. There is serious packaging eye candy in here including Pastiglie Leone, which is one of the oldest artisan candy makers in Italy.

The candies are characterized by their iconic packaging and flavor profiles, which are achieved through a careful selection of essences, extracts and flavours, so as to bring out the fragrance and scent of the different flavours.
