Ecodrain

Did you know that showering is typically the single most energy intensive activity that people engage in at home? Every time you shower, energy gets wasted in the form of still warm water going down the drain.

“The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) estimates that between 80 and 90% of the energy used to heat water is lost down the drain.  It’s the equivalent of 350 billion kilowatt-hours  – enough electricity to power 33,183,563 homes for an entire year.” -Ecodrain

Until now, there was no way to capture that wasted energy. Ecodrain has developed an easy-to-install, next generation heat exchanger that transfers the outgoing heat to incoming cold water in order to save energy.

The packaging, designed by freelance graphic designer Isabelle Guerette, is clean, simple and elegant: a perfect reflection of the product itself. It features en eco-friendly kraft paper box, printed with a minimal 2 color design.
