Marx Design was tasked with creating a superior still and sparkling water brand that would be sold exclusively sold in restaurants across China and New Zealand. New Zealand Artesian Water features a premium luxury label that will surely resonate with the Chinese and New Zealand market.

“Creating a visual language that would appeal to these two diverse audiences was critical to success. How would we unify, let alone traverse commonality between them, while also presenting the dominant codes of the water category in a unique and creative manner?”

Drawing ideas from water bottle designs and their purity,  Marx Design drew from images of glaciers, lakes and water droplets and used them to create New Zealand Artesian Water. New Zealand is well known for highly decorative historical stamps and 19th century landscape art. The drawing of these two elements in an illustration elicits the purity of Pre-European New Zealand. The purity of this scene is enhanced further by the surrounding motifs. The typography is finished with gold foil to reinforce a sense of premium opulence – making this a bottle of pure elegance.
