E-g-sain 2014 Chinese New Year
Although Chinese New Year has come and gone, this design is definitely one to take a look at. Created by MURA, much care has been taken to package each individual element in the box. The elaborate illustrations that are common in traditional Chinese New Years gifts are applied to this piece. The box is beautifully decorated with speckles of gold, resembling snow and reminding us of the coming new year. It is brightened with a pop of red and illustrated with the year's animal. Inside, each product is decorated with its own unique image and also features more accents of gold and silver, making this product very luxurious and festive.
"2014 is the year of horse in the Chinese lunar calendar. Instead of presenting just any average horse image, E-g-sain went nostalgia and tracked way back in history, to the 7th century, to the great dynasty of “Tang”, where horses are grand and worshiped. Famed horses owned by emperors, sang by poets, and painted by artists, are researched, studied and then reconstructed through carefully designed graphic images onto E-g-sain’s 2014 Golden Horse Year visual campaign. E-g-sain shares reminiscence to the culture and tradition while presents a thoughtful and modern design approaches."
