An integral part of reintroducing a classic candy is to maintain the look and feel of the original while also making it approachable to a modern audience. With this packaging, BrandFirst has successfully balanced the authentic with the contemporary. Simplified typography, vintage-style illustrations and a timeworn cream-colored background give the packages a nostalgic charm. At the same time, the custom illustrated characters have been recreated for a modern era while maintaining the simplicity of the “good old days.”
Finding the right balance between respecting the heritage of a brand and updating the look of a brand to be relevant to today’s world is always a challenge. With these retro-inspired designs, BrandFirst has found just the right mix.
