Robot Roy!

While many companies are planning to send out the usual holiday cards, chocolate, cookies, and candy as Christmas gifts this year, Robot Food decided to give a new spin to a traditional holiday gift. Robot Roy The Nutcracker Toy is a traditional wooden nutcracker with an “on-brand robotic twist.” Nutcrackers have been around since the 15th century and are usually a wooden soldier, knight, or king. Robot Roy is a unique twist on a classic Christmas icon that also reflects Robot Foods signature brand.

“We all love Christmas. But when you’re a design agency, the pressure’s on. To celebrate the season and their distinctive creative approach, Robot Food gave clients, family and friends something fun, festive and worth making room for on the mantelpiece. “

Robot Roy stands ten inches tall and is hand-painted in bright primary colors. He’s packaged in an impressive bespoke black box made from ebony Colourplan by GF Smith. The in-house illustrations include a festive nuts and bolts pattern, which decorate the box edges. The design is applied in a luxurious, tactile gold foil finish and the 50 limited edition boxes are sealed with a numbered label.

“We’d hesitate to call ourselves a traditional agency. But we do love a traditional Christmas. So this year, we sent out a festive gift that had Robot Food written all over it. We chose the time-honored wooden nutcracker, and gave it a signature twist. It’s bright, fun and designed to put a smile on our client’s faces.”
