Branding agency, Miller Creative was tasked by Bunches & Bunches, a gourmet food company based in Portland, Oregon to create the brand identity and packaging for their line of savory products, Provisions.
Miller designed a brand mark and packaging system for their first collection of spicy molé sauces. Since the labels were printed as a small run, the special effects and materials costs had to be kept under control. Packaging was printed letterpress for a tactile and premium feel. Heat level was indicated with a small rubber-stamped seal, allowing for a smaller print run without the extra cost of another label or printing plate to indicate heat. The flavor seal adds an attractive touch, but also acts as a tamper-evident seal.
