Puns are widely regarded among dads and Twitter users as one of the highest forms of humour, so it was no surprise when CBC Radio 3’s host Grant Lawrence took to Twitter with his #CDNbandbeer hashtag and it trended its way right into the National Post. That is when Pretty/Ugly Design‘s Ben Didier, designer of CBC Music started to designed a line of fantasy beers, later to become a reality. The beers are produced by Old Yale Brewing, whom created the Canadian Band Beer series – all of which carried labels designed by Ben Didier.
“I took the joke too far by designing a set of labels for some of the fictitious brews, published on CBC Music. Before long Old Yale Brewing’s Jeremy Sibley was recruiting members of B.C.’s vibrant craft beer community to help make them a reality, ” said Ben Didier.
