Anderson Design Group has created line of packaging that celebrates the southern tradition of home-made shortbread cookies.

"For over 30 years, Willa’s Shortbread has produced the finest shortbread cookies and cheese biscuits using traditional southern recipes and with family guarded attention to detail and quality. In order to commemorate the heritage of Willa's Shortbread cookies, we wanted to produce something that felt old-fashioned, southern, and nostalgic. Our inspiration came from old collectable antique tins that were used to hold food items such as tea, sugar, crackers, coffee, spices and others goods. We started with the metal tins and extended the look to small limited-color kraft boxes. Since they produce so many flavors, we wanted to give them the flexibility to change or add flavors along the way so we designed the packaging to include flavor seals, each one crafted with its own unique personality/flavor cues and color. Hand-rendered typography set with warm, buttery colors convey a feeling of cozy familiarity and artisan quality."
