Williams Sonoma World Grilling
Designed by Michael Osborne Design, William Sonoma's line of world grilling drizzles and pastes is extremely well designed and well though out. All four flavor profiles look cohesive when viewed together, but it is the subtle differences that makes each unique. Each label has its own stylized background, unique shape of the main text panel, and look closely, even a different cork for each!
Bermellón Confectionery Shop
This great collection of BBQ sauces for Williams-Sonoma designed by Foundry Co. is beautifully designed with a sophistication that definitely represents the Williams-Sonoma brand. I love the use of patterns, icon illustration (such as the potlatch seasoning) and color scheme throughout the BBQ collection. The typography on each label stands out and showcases what each jar contains immediately. Each label is designed differently but still remains as part of the collection. Williams-Sonoma's Thanksgiving Food Assortment
Cult Partners were honored to be asked to redesign the food packaging system for Williams-Sonoma's entire Thanksgiving food assortment. As a retailer with a product focus on food, cooking and entertaining, Thanksgiving is a critical sales period for the company. To Williams-Sonoma's core customers, the old packaging system had become familiar and welcoming when it appeared in the stores every year. Therefore, it became critical to not alienate these customers by preserving the traditional look, while still giving the packaging system a fresh and modern facelift. The result is a clean system that focuses on sophisticated typographic treatments and traditional uses of color and illustrations. While creating the system, cues were taken from the wine and food packaging of California's wine country to pay homage to the geographic roots of founder Chuck William's original store in Sonoma's historic downtown square.
