Johnnie Walker Explorers Club Collection launched with Spice Road in 2012, exclusively selling it in travel retail outlets, and was followed by The Gold Route and The Royal Route, released in 2013. The three whiskies comprise the Explorers' Club Collection – a range inspired by the travels of Johnnie Walker agents. The packaging of each release paints a window into the memory of each journey, and features a pattern and color palette that mirrors the liquid within. To unify the series – and pay homage to "Keep Walking" within the world of travel – the new Walking Man Globe emblem is now an essential element of the visual language. The new look pays tribute to the past while embracing new adventure.
LOVE for Johnnie Walker
Inspired by the blue and white porceline, Love, a Manchester based firm created this special edition design for Johnnie Walker House opening in Shanghai.
"For the people that love whiskey comes these limited edition Johnnie Walker bottles that were produced by Manchester-based firm LOVE for a new Johnnie Walker House that is set to open in Shanghai. LOVE not only created the blue and white porcelain inspired bottle, but also helped develpop and design the Johnnie Walker House with interior designers, Asylum, to create a asian presence for the whiskey brand. The bottles are limited to 1000 and will be exclusive to the Johnnie Walker House"

In the fiercely competitive world of whisky, gift packs are crucial. Diageo’s Johnnie Walker brand was renowned for being progressive but it’s gifting needed to live up to these values so Marcel Christ and Design Bridge were asked to create limited edition gift packaging to boost sales and visibility with global appeal.
“Our collaboration with the client team and inspirational photographer, Marcel Christ gave us the chance to create stunning, evocative images. The result is contemporary, youthful and striking and ventures outside the brand’s and the category’s norm. We’ve created gift packaging that captures the ultimate expression of the liquid’s bold flavour explosion and delivers texture and form. The big bold flavours are presented in a progressive way. Our collaborative design prompted increased orders by market of 47% on the previous year. With no increase in production costs and greater recyclability, it’s no surprise that this is the brand’s most taken-up gifting to date.”
