Najds & Hijadzes Coffee Concept
by Tiana Spellman on 07/11/2012 | 1 Minute Read
Najds & Hijadzes is an arabian coffee concept.
"The name comes from a traditional coffee brewing method that is common in Najd (literally Highland, central region of the Arabian Peninsula) and Hijaz (region in the west of present-day Saudi Arabia), which includes flavoring the coffee with 4 spices: cardamom, cinnamon, clove, and saffron."
This traditional method uses coffee beans that are not roasted, so it is a beverage entirely unlike what most people think of as coffee. For easy recognition the illustrations on the bags are colour-coded and each of the special flavors is marked with a number.
