Auld Lang Syne (Times Gone By)
"This New Year's themed wine bottle is sent to clients as a thank-you for past business and a cheers to working together in the future. The premise of the project was to choose (out of a hat) a holiday and create a self-promotional wine bottle and an accompanying box. I pulled New Year's, and based my wine bottle on the meaning of the traditional song, Auld Lang Syne. The lyrics are sung happily but not well understood; "Auld Lang Syne" translates to "Times Gone By," and has been sung for decades to remind old friends of good times shared and raising their "cups of kindness" to the future.
The bottle is meant to reflect the extravagance and richness of New Year's Eve celebrations and is inspired by an antique grandfather clock. The accompanying book and lining of the box showcase the lyrics and give some history and explanation of the self-promotional 'bottle of kindness.'"
