Holmberg Design Co. is a Minneapolis-based design studio specializing in creative communication. We’ve previously featured their work for Bull Run Roasting Company, Rustica Bakery, and Dogwood Coffee Company. Principal Jeff Holmberg just finished up two new projects for Dave’s Coffee and and Natedogs and shared them with us.

Natedogs mustard
“Natedogs is a hot dog cart serving up all-pork wieners and scratch made condiments such as his hand crafted, honey-spiced mustard. Nate’s dogs are made from all-natural, open air pasture raised pigs with no nitrates, nitrites, hormones or antibiotics. His meat comes from Pastures A Plenty Farm in Kerkhoven, MN.
Inspired by vintage beer cans and vintage packaging, we created the new mustard bottle for Minnesota based food cart: Natedog. The packaging uses a clear squeezable bottle wrapped with letterpresses labels by Minneapolis based, Studio On Fire.
Colors were picked to promote the brand and compliment the product color. Special effort was made in the printing process through adjusting ink density to accent the area of ink overlap, creating an exaggerated trap, often seen in vintage packaging.”
Dave’s Coffee
Dave’s Coffee in Rhode Island just introduced this line of All Natural Coffee Syrups. No High Fructose Corn Syrup. No Artificial Sweeteners. No Fake Colors.
Bottle labels printed on an off-white label stock, and custom manila tags printed, perforated and sequentially numbered. Tags were added to give ideas on how to use the product.
