El Rifer is an artisan olive oil grown on an unusual cold climate of El Montseny, northern region of Catalonia, (Spain, the number one olive oil producer).
The peculiar area where the olive trees grow, El Montseny, is frequently covered by snow in winter; this exceptional weather conditions are reflected in the snowflake logotype that plays the role of an olive tree. The labels, printed on thick onionskin paper with an oval shape, are inspired by the tree leaves, the olives and snow.
