Student Spotlight: MUG pub
"Take Away Beer, Makes the Atmosphere!", Ivan Maximov, a design student from Russia created packaging design and rebranding for the Mug pub, a chain of football pubs in Moscow. We likey!, especially this new concept for take away beer, where their beer is filled into paper cups and put into a cool carrier. A sticker is placed on the lid to identify the brew as well as the date it was filled.
Omission, Gluten Free
"It’s that time of year — armchair quarterbacks across the country are grabbing a beer and rooting on their favorite football teams. But with Celiac disease affecting at least 1 in 100 Americans, many beer drinkers are forced to pass up their favorite beverage due to dietary restrictions. To address this problem, Craft Brew Alliance approached brand design firm Hornall Anderson to help them launch Omission—the first craft beer brand in the U.S. focused exclusively on brewing great tasting beer with traditional beer ingredients—including malted barley—specially crafted to remove gluten."
25 Creative Craft Beer Packages
It's almost 4th of July (Independence Day) here in the US, and for many of us that means a lot of beer and well, a lot of beer. We've selected some of our favorite Creative Craft Beer Packages from around the world, old and new. Our first selection is Howling Monkey, from Turner Duckworth - whose brief from the client was to simply "Have fun with it!" So, they did.
Ending this parade of beers is Cable Car Brewing Co, a local brewery from San Francisco, a city which The Dieline Team called home for five days during The Dieline Package Design Conference 2013 at HOW Design Live. Cheers, San Francisco! Thank you and we will meet again!
Brandhouse's challenge was to identify the best way for our St. Stefanus to enter the specialty beer market across Europe and develop a positioning and brand identity to capitalize on this.
"The specialty beer market is very crowded and the bigger players in the Abbey beer segment were slowly becoming mainstream and losing some of their special-ness. Our research identified a target consumer who is passionate about his beer, and will go to great lengths to find out about it, researching beers online and getting involved in beer blogs and chat rooms. They want knowledge and they want to tell people about what they know."
The two founders Adam & Eva got their hands on the apple (yes, really). They met each other during their studies. They used to send cool ciders to one another and wondered, why is it that in the beautiful country of Austria, which is full of worldclass apple trees, there are no worldclass cider. The idea for Goldkehlchen was born.
"Adam & Eva, asked Bureau FFabienne to come up with a branding for their apple cider. We loved the idea of Adam & Eva doing apple cider so we agreed. The apples are all handpicked and no sugar is added, that’s what makes this apple cider "GOLDKEHLCHEN" from Austria so special."
