Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection
The Boston Brewing Company, makers of Samuel Adams, have debuted a new collection of beers entitled the Barrel Room Collection. The collection features newly-designed packaging from Boston-based Adam&Co.
While the collection initially contains only three varieties, Samuel Adams plans to introduce more in time. Therefore, the challenge set for Adam&Co was in how to design packaging that could be extended to a range of products, and tie together all of them in a series.
The solution is in a color-based branding system, with bands around the neck of each bottle and panels on the main label. The mostly-monochrome packaging artwork is a departure from Samuel Adams's usual style, but appropriate for the limited edition of 750 mL "cork finished" bottles.
"Strømme Throndsen Design has assisted Lerum in developing a new, unique and differentiating concept for a new brand of sugar free soft drinks. Strømme Throndsen created the concept, name, packaging and structural design. The brand clearly communicates zero sugar and great taste in a modern, fresh way that gives the young consumer a stylish way to drink more water."
Ola Dubh 1991
Creative branding design agency, threebrand was briefed to create full bottle design and adornment for Ola Dubh 1991, an artisan craft beer with a twist. The task was to create packaging for the beer that reflected the core Ola Dubh brand but signals that although an extension of the core range, it is a different edition.
An extension of the core Ola Dubh range, the product is the first of a new range of craft beers by Harviestoun Brewery where the ale is matured in Highland Park Single Malt whisky casks.
