Crit* Jimmy Brings Family
Jimmy Brings Family is a new range of wines selected and sold under the recently launched Jimmy Brings brand, a Sydney-based alcohol delivery service fashioned on the 1920’s prohibition era. Created by Studio Sammut the labels follow the theme established by the visual identity and collaterals by appropriating criminal personalities of the period - conveying these through a mixed typographic style, photography and a newspaper aesthetic - to communicate the individual flavour profiles of the wine, deliver a playful spin on heritage and further the quirky character of the brand.
Black Jack wine label design by DIA. "The EMM Group's Wine Director, Peter Mastrogiovanni, reached out to us to create the identity, logo and inaugural label for his new wine venture Black Jack. We took a very reductive approach to the design by combining red and black with a modern typeface. Without wanting to use any playing card iconography, we simply called out the letters "A" and "J" to nod to a perfect blackjack hand. We also flipped "Jack" upside down to reference the classic playing card design."
Student: Swallowtail Vineyards
Amber Newman, a design student from University of Missouri-Columbia created a package design for, Swallowtail Vineyards a fictional vineyard based in Lorane, Oregon. "Established in 1972 by Oscar Starling but now operated by the son Bejamin Starling. These vineyards are reminiscent of a french villa, modern architecture and the liveliness of the city. With wine production, they also sell various other products in their gift store, which included but not limited to: salsa, peppers, breads, cheeses, aprons, packaged cooking classes and other fun novelty items.
