"The paradigm of moon cakes is often associated with the older generation, it’s tradition to consume mooncakes during the mid autumn festival(???). However, this tradition is not practiced by the younger generation .Mainly due to it's packaging emphasis on traditional Asian art. The goal of "CULT" is to target moon cakes for the younger market, by infusing traditional asian floral motifs with modernistic design elements."

The structure takes on a floral form to achieve a consistency between it's 2D and 3D design consideration. The packaging resembles a flower bud when it’s closed and a full-bloomed flower when it’s open to reveal the mooncake inside.
