Lazy Days Tea Co
Lazy Days Tea Co is a new packaging and branding identity designed by Baer Design Group. Designers: Todd Baer, Dave Seidler, Copywriter: Melissa Lane.
"With an armful of crazy tea blends and a vision to be "The Ben & Jerry's of Tea," Lazy Days Tea Company approached us to create their brand.
After listening carefully to exactly how they wanted to stand apart from other teas, we created a full-package brand-identity that illuminated their vision.
We designed the logo, packaging and support materials with a fresh, hip, and irreverent aesthetic. We created copy to match: flavor names that dodged the stuffy, old "Quietly Chamomile" standards and an intelligent, conversational tone to all the copy.
Lazy Day Tea Company (www.lazydaystea.com) wanted to hit the market with attitude, sass and a message that tea did not have to adhere to the boring mainstays of its peers - and that's exactly what we equipped them with."
Queen Mary Tea
"Queen Mary Tea began as an upscale boutique cafe where patrons could enjoy full leaf teas from around the world while being immersed in a Victorian-style ambiance. Now they were looking to expand their customer base by selling premium tea products in high-end spas, hotels, and restaurants. As the name suggests, celebrating England’s rich tradition of midday tea is what first inspired the creation of this gourmet brand.
Carrying this original vision through to their packaging would be essential to achieving consistent brand representation. New flavor-based iconography and a distinct color palette were used to distinguish the various tea groups and helped clarify customer choice. A revised logo designed specifically for use with embossing and foil-stamping would allow for that extra special touch on thank you cards, invitations and other brand correspondence."

"Virtually every energy drink on the market today is marketed towards youth culture, the kind that wants a quick buzz just to keep the fun going. What about the blue collar worker that just wants to have energy to get the job done or the fisherman that woke up at 3:00AM to get to their favorite fishing spot? RIVET is for them and needed identity, packaging for an 8oz and 16oz can, and advertising that would connect with those consumers."
"Working with Tuborg Green is a dream job. Because Tuborg is a brand in which we, like most Danes, feel we have a stake. Not literally, but emotionally. Tuborg is ours, like SAS, LEGO and the Little Mermaid are ours. Consequently, we have approached this job with as much respect for what Tuborg is as for what it can be. We have tried to find a way of remaining loyal to both. We will start with the label – the Watchmaker. An expressive shape. A round and cheerful shape. A beautiful and powerful shape. Which can even be accentuated. When you isolate the Watchmaker shape from everything else, something becomes clear: It communicates. And in itself it actually already contains the entire Tuborg story."
