THIS IS SO COOL – it’s a double shot of caffeinated package design goodness!

Leading designers from Starbucks and Seattle’s Best Coffee have been added to the speaker roster at The Dieline Package Design Conference running June 22-24 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.  Just one of four HOW Design Live events, The Dieline Package Design Conference features the “big dogs” of package design and branding, including Joe Duffy, Michael Osborne, Moira Cullen, Louise Fili, Debbie Millman and many more.
 
And we’re excited to announce that the rock stars of the coffee industry have just been added to the line-up. Mike Peck, Starbucks’ Senior Design Manager will present “Freeing the Siren: A Look at the Starbucks Brand Evolution”.

It’s a daunting task to make even minor modifications to a well-known global brand like Starbucks. So you can imagine that there’s quite a story behind actually removing the words Starbucks and Coffee from the logo. Mike Peck, Senior Design Manager of Starbucks Global Creative will walk you through the evolution of the brand from the first strategic conversations to the final packaging applications. Although not an entirely “new” logo, it is a large leap into the future for the growing and increasingly globally-focused coffee company.
