Nice idea and execution - it would certainly get my attention and be popular with the high school and college-aged consumer - however i think the imagery and message is too "strong" and inappropriate for the pre-teen demographic.

@ Jennifer: I don't think is inappropriate at all, the fact is, that the product "speaks" in the same language that the demographic group it's intended to. i think it simply beautiful.

@ Mawz - So, you think that "Eff" Off is appropriate for PRE-teens? That gets a PG-13 at the movies and I can't see how kids 9-12 should be buying this product. I think it is irresponsible marketing but -- whatever. I agree that it is a nice execution - just not for that demographic, IMO.

I agree with Jennifer's comments. The profane language and gesture are in poor taste for targeting a pre-teen audience. If this approach is purely driven by money, then a company must seriously weigh the risk of making enemies with parents, and the resulting backlash.
