Billerud's FibreForm

This is a new biodegradeable, recyclable packaging material by Billerud, a Swedish company. The material is very flexible, can easily be shaped into soft, natural shapes and can stand up to being embossed. It is touted to have a variety of applications from product packaging to food packaging: Marks & Spencer has taken to using the material as packaging for their sliced meat over traditional plastic packaging.

Nice. I wonder if this is the same type of material berry+ uses for their clam shell packaging. I'd like to know more about what it's made of.

This is a pure virgin fibre based paper with unique stretch. For some applications, it is laminated paper to paper to build stiffness and/or combined with a barrier to provide sealing properties and MAP solutions (e.g. processed food such as ham).
