Student Spotlight: Lindsay Perkins

New work from Lindsay Perkins, a recent graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design: "The branding and packaging I created was inspired by a small, local, organic farm in rural Maine. The objective was to design a brand and packaging line that reflected the farm's eco-friendly agricultural methods."

"All packaging is reproduced individually, making each piece a little bit different, just as produce from an organic farm. The concept the grass is greener on our side is emphasized through the product lines by the use of biodegradable paper, wax paper + cheese cloth. The paper is made with grass seeds so where ever and however the packaging is disposed, grass will grow- one way to give back to the farms free range animals."

Nice lettering! It's difficult to make the kraft/sustainable/handcrafted message look fresh, but this work succeeds with the movement of the lettering.

Engages the viewer beautifully and simply pops out in its beautiful, organic use of text that's become the message of nature. Lovely solution. Excellent work Lindsay.
