Student Spotlight: Misako Ishida

Recent FIT graduate Misako Ishida designed this Tequila packaging.  More after the jump.

"Casera is a line of small batch tequila handcrafted by women in a small town in Mexico. Traditional Mexican clothes and patterns were incorporated into the design to engage the tequila-buying women."

The package design for Casera Tequila is EXQUISITE !
I love the vintage ethnic flavor incorporated with the contemporary graphics. Very unique.

I could see this really appealing to different customers. It's got nice feminine palette which will easily differentiate it from others in the market. It really softens the image of tequila...

It can't be named tequila, it was made in Colima, a state near Jalisco. I'm from Colima so I know.
Tequila is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée just like Champagne.
Nice design, wrong name.
