Student Spotlight: Scrubadubsub

Check out this awesome student work by recent Penn State graduate, Marley Stellmann, after the jump.

"This particular project is the "Scrubadub Sub." It is a collection of bath and body products for children. The five products come packaged in bottles and are recognizable by five different sea creatures. The characters are Willy the Whale, Casey the Crab, Sally the Seahorse, Olly the Octopus, and (my personal favorite) Neddy The Narwhal. The bottles are contained in a foam sub that doubles as a bath caddy. When put away, each of the characters peers out of their own porthole. Attached to the sub, you will find a scuba mask, which protects little eyes from soap subs, and a snorkel that forms the periscope. It makes bath time more enjoyable for children by giving them the opportunity to be a bathtub explorer while they get clean"

Surprised no one has commented on this. The packaging and concept are cute and functional.

Marley is a wonderfully talented designer who did an internship with us last summer. If anyone is looking for an excellent junior designer, Marley is your girl!

It's cute, yes. Comment on the individual bottle design's though.. It seems "raw". Lacking sufficient details. Colors aren't very lively. The container of the bottles is good in terms of incorporation with the whole theme. :)
