Chase Vodka

Chase Distillery produces the UK's only potato vodka. Chase Vodka (formally Tyrrell's Vodka) is made from Herefordshire potatoes and distilled using artisan methods. I read about them recently and discovered that the company actually made potato chips and then sold that business to focus on a new direction for potatoes: distilling potato vodka. They did such a good job of it that the product has already won awards for its exceptional quality. The packaging is quite nice, but the story behind the company lends even more meaning to it.

Why is there a leafless tree branch pattern on the bottle? Wouldn't a potato plant or roots be more appropriate? And they could have ligatured the C and h of the logotype.

Fantastic vodka, without question the best I've ever drunk. I saw it reviewed on TV and bought a 50cl bottle to test. Really, really good stuff and UK brewed. When you think of all the money going out of the county on booze it fells great to get to get behind the local guy selling a great product. Highly recommend.

This is hitting the indie music scene. Pete Doherthy as a Poet would drink this. I like it too.
