Grimm Brothers Brewhouse

1

"Grimm Brothers Brewhouse is new craft brewer located in Loveland, Colorado focusing on authentic German style beers. Each of their brews is named after one of the Grimm Brother's famous folk tales, so each label features a scene from each story, but with a twist. For example, Little Red Cap (or Riding Hood) has an axe hidden behind her back, making her more dangerous than the wolf."

From left to right:

1. Snowdrop (based on Snow White) / Honey Wheat Ale (aka Kottbusser)

2. The Fearless Youth (based on "The Boy Who Went Forth to Learn Fear") / Dunkel Lager (Munich Dunkel)

3. Little Red Cap (based on "Little Red Riding Hood") / Alt Style Ale (Dusseldorf Altbier)

Designed by The Tenfold Collective

This is a very interesting package. I always like those projects based in some unusual but inspirational concept.
Very impressive. illustrate the unusual, whether the theme of this label? Mystical?Overall, this is an interesting design, I want to save this product and I want to display in my office.

Great illustrations....the gem here is the neck label though.

These are GREAT! And for an actual product, and not speculative work— that's even better. It's very difficult to get a client to sign off on stuff like this— where the logo is that small, even though the style is consistent across the board, and the logo is legible and noticeable.

Their work for Colorado Native is also nice, really dig their work! Especially the Branding.

'authentic German style beers'

does anyone else see the massive contradiction here?

July 23, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAndy B
What massive contradiction? It's authentic in style. It doesn't say "authentic German beer". I've had Altbier in Düsseldorf. It is very hard to find Uerige and others in the US, so it would be nice to give the Red Cap a shot. And yes, the design is awesome!

Love the design. Is the illustrator, Kirsten Ulve? Too bad she didn't get mention.

Alcoholic beverages should not depic cartoonesque characters, or anything especially appealing to kids.
