What a great way to mix bold, informal ink drawings with a clean and crisp feel.

Very nice, but...
The Chinese/Japanese calligraphy aesthetic is too strong for products that don't originate there.
The brand seal stamp design is rather poor.
Rounded corner labels would have been better.
Gill Sans is a dull choice.

There's a very Japanese feel to the style. I always love a mix of textures/line weights in a very simple/clean design.

The line looks aesthetically pleasing; there are a few concerns:
1. icon system does not make sense to common consumer.
2. Lack of the descriptive imagery makes it harder to identify products and distinguish between line extensions.
3. The system is utterly basing on the idea consumers have tremendous amount of time to browse especially when the packaging has to be bilingual.

To be fair, Ali...
Not all packages need to communicate to the "common consumer."

Very cost effective design and minimal packaging, minimal ink usage--saves money for the client and valuable resources.

With food, I want to be able to see what I am buying. Here, only the essential elements are used. This system is honest and presents the food first, packaging second. Food packaging nowadays is cluttered with design elements that aren't relevant plus it makes it hard to shop efficiently when time is so important. Many brands look so similar with their approach to packaging. If I could buy my cereal in a clear, unprinted bag and only a small label, I would!

Like the design. Real shame they had to use so much plastic - plastic wrapped cauliflower isn't needed.

designers should think about functionality as well.
