The Design Business Bottle

A clever gift given by Romania based design firm Ampro Design to all new clients. This bottle has two necks and two integrated cups. Check it out below.

"The "Design Business Bottle" was made to capture the essence of our business in conection with the client's business, and thatswhy we designed a bottle with 2 necks: one for us, and one for the client, afterall don't we all drink from this businesss?

And the story is like this: we thought: "Let's make a gift for every contract we sign...let's make a good wine bottle", and we did: the bottle has 2 necks covered by 2 glasses: one written "Our Business" and the other: "Your Business" because, as a client, you put a little of your business in our business, and in the end you will enjoy the sweet wine inside."

Possibly the ugliest thing I've seen in quite a while.

In terms of the concept, by creating a separate neck from which to pour/drink from, aren't you separating yourself from the client? You end up drinking from the opposite end, instead of celebrating and sharing from the same source.

Seems a little off mark.

Drink responsably or responsibly?

drinking from the same bottle.

sharing.

Interesting but impractical.. imagine once one side is uncorked how are you going to uncork the other without spilling wine everywhere?

2 necks is over kill, retarded in fact! i agree with artfp... no way in hell you would ever open both ends. a better idea would be 1 bottle labeled benefits, and each glass with ours yours ... you both share the benefits.

@leah... good catch. i also like the grammar on the second phrase of the first paragraph: ... you will be the one drinking from cup.

good thing this is just a photoshop comp and not a finished product!

Ingenious. Plus, the only part that is wasted is the ribbon holding the glasses together.

functionality aside I actually like the concept. Although the bottle looks like some thing out of the pharmaceutical industry.

I think it's clever it says a lot about a company

I'm surprised by the negative comments - forget about logic for a moment! Put this bottle in a Liquor store and see the reaction of the customer. I guarantee this bottle will grab their attention. It stands out - what more do you want?

Just because it stands out on the shelf doesnt mean its a good design. It also has to function and create a better experience for the user. I agree with artfp and b

That's the first step to success - you want the shopper to grab the product. You only have 2-3 seconds to get their attention. The design can be refined and made functional later (if needed).

As far as "the better experience for the user" , shouldn't the wine itself offer that?

b and artfp - why would you need to uncork both ends anyways? The first illustration clearly shows the bottle is NOT divided...

I think it's a nice eye-catching idea... I agree that it's not very functional, but it was designed as a client gift for those special contract-signing occasions, in which case it's perfect since you only need two glasses of wine (which is all that bottle would hold).

And hey! think of how much easier it would be to build a ship in THAT bottle :)

isn't wine meant to be drunk out of a wine glass??
July 29, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermlcon
i think the glass is a little ordinary, if its bussines it should be a little more sophisticated, than an ordinary glass.

Well, unless you drink ALL of the wine at once with both glasses, it is a fundamentally flawed design. You would need one of the glasses to remain in order to continue to hold the bottle upright. Otherwise, this is only good for one person drinking by themselves.

just an amazing job excellent

Very cool... aside from the misspelling and grammatical error, but hey they're Romanian! So whatever, I mean... I can't speak Romanian! I do love the idea, though. It doesn't work if you dive TOO deep into the intended metaphor, but I think it works as an expression of unity and of flow of resources.
