Student Spotlight: Milk Bone

Neal Gallagher is a recent graduate from Chicago Portfolio School: The packaging takes reference from the origins of the Milk Bone Biscuit Company.

"Milk Bone started as the H.F. Biscuit company; a small bakery on the lower east side of New York City. I wanted to give the Milk Bone packaging a home made and more exclusive feel, to make dog owners feel as though they were giving a treat the was truly special. There are subtle references to New York City throughout the packaging including the vintage New York map that runs on the side of treat bags and also throughout the wet food and leash. A color system was developed to easily identify Puppy, Adult and Senior Biscuits. A small picture and descripton of the product appear on the front of each package so the consumer can clearly see what type of treat they are purchasing."
