Metrio Coffee

1

Robinsson Cravents creates the Metrio Coffee Identity and Packaging, bases on the vlassical vintage themes of ancient Greece. Check it out after the jump.

"The ‘Metrio Coffee’ identity was first inspired by the classical vintage themes of ancient Greece (the Athenian owl and olive branches) and later combined with a modern yet simple design. The word Metrio is derived by the most common way Greeks drink their short black coffee - METRIO - meaning short black with one sugar (medium sweetness).  The combination of the name, the traditional themes and selected colours (brown, coffee, silver, blue, gold) compliment the overall design and gives the brand the classical, fresh and simple perspective it requires to make its mark."

The misspellings of "organic" and "espresso" are driving me bonkers. Other than that, I love the color palette and the owl icon.

Me too. Those are inexcusable errors. It isn't difficult to check spelling and ultimately reflects poorly on even the prettiest designs.

The designers used the same "lorem ipsum" on every package. This might be just a work-in-progress, or perhaps a self-directed project without a real client. Good looking work, but rather shoddy attention to detail.

(Speaking of attention to detail, The Dieline writers have contributed a couple typos of their own: "...bases on the vlassical vintage themes...")

"expresso" eveals it as just another manufactured/ designed product. Low integrity and purpose.

This owl is exactly the same one that was on modern greek drachma coins.... i think it was the same that the ancient greeks used in their coins...

There are at least three people in this thread that cannot spell. You all need glasses or take the time to check what you post.

The word "metrio" apart from what is described above, also means mediocre or moderate. It's like saying poor quality coffee.

Metrio doesn't mean mediocre or poor quality. It is a way greeks drink their greek coffee - 'metrio' one sugar for every teaspoon of coffee. Uncle Sam should be back at school.
